L. Makwinja<\/strong> noticed a recurring problem in the hospitals\u2014broken equipment. After hearing more about equipment breakdowns, he\u00a0decided to find out more about the causes of such problems. This led him\u00a0to start reading about healthcare technology and best practices in its management.<\/p>\n<p>Makwinja was awarded a bachelor\u2019s degree in medical laboratory sciences in 2015, and in April of that year, he began studying for a postgraduate diploma in healthcare technology management at the University of Cape Town in South Africa.
