Es Especialista en Medicina Interna. Es presidente y fundador de la Fundaci\u00f3n Espa\u00f1ola de Hipercolesterolemia Familiar y de la Red Iberoamericana de Hipercolesterolemia Familiar.  <\/p><p>Su inter\u00e9s en la investigaci\u00f3n se centra en el manejo de los factores de riesgo cardiovascular en la patogenia y desarrollo de la ateroesclerosis. Est\u00e1 especialmente dedicado a la investigaci\u00f3n epidemiol\u00f3gica, cl\u00ednica y molecular en la Hipercolesterolemia Familiar.
