En 1972 ingres\u00f3 a la Universidad de Cambridge, donde es Profesor de Biolog\u00eda Celular.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"es-ES\">Es miembro de la Royal Society desde 1971, y fue nombrado Caballero por la Reina Isabel II en 1995. En 2004, el Wellcome\/CRC Institute for Cell Biology and C\u00e1ncer pas\u00f3 a llamarse Instituto Gurdon en su honor, actualmente es Director del mencionado Instituto.
