Michael Oellerich, MD, HonMD, FACB, FAMM, FFPath (RCPI),FRCPath, is a clinical pathologist and a Lower Saxony Distinguished Professor of Clinical Chemistry at the Department of Clinical Pharmacology, Medical Faculty (UMG) of the George-August University, Göttingen, Germany. From 1996 to 1998, he served as Dean of the Faculty of Medicine. He was President of WASPaLM, IATDMCT, DGLM, and DGKL. He is Editor-in-Chief of Therapeutic Drug Monitoring and was Associate Editor of Clinical Chemistry. His research interests include biomarkers in transplantation, proteomics, LC-MS/MS, and molecular diagnostics. He authored more than 400 publications. He received various awards (e.g. IATDMCT Charles Pippenger Award, WASPaLM Gold-Headed Cane)

Dr. Howard Urnovitz co-founded Chronix Biomedical in 1997, and serves as CEO and CSO. He has been active in corporate biotechnology discovery and research for the past 30 years. Previously, Dr. Urnovitz founded Calypte Biomedical, Inc., a manufacturer of HIV diagnostics, and served as Chief Scientific Officer from 1988-2000. Prior to Calypte Biomedical, Dr. Urnovitz served as Senior Scientist at the Institute of Cancer Research, Medical Research Institute, in San Francisco, California. Previously, he was Director of Molecular and Cellular Engineering at XOMA Corporation in Berkeley, California. Prior to XOMA, he was Director of the Hybridoma Facility, Laboratory of Experimental Pathology at the University of Iowa. Dr. Urnovitz has published in scientific journals, and has been an invited speaker or panelist at international scientific conferences and U.S Congressional hearings. He holds several patents related to immunoassay diagnostics. Dr. Urnovitz received his B.S. and M.S. in Microbiology and a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Michigan and completed his post-doctoral studies at Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri.

Prof. Ekkehard Schütz joined Chronix in 2000 and has 20 years experience in medical laboratory diagnostics. He received his M.D., and Ph.D. in Molecular Diagnostics from the University of Göttingen. Prof. Schütz has over 110 peer reviewed publications and several awards. He is a highly cited and recognized expert in the field of Genetics.
